During the last meetings with Mr. StS Bareiß and in talks with the ministries, we kept asking about the hardship fund, which had already been announced at the last economic dialogue with Federal Minister Altmaier. Now he comes.
All self-employed people and companies that have failed the previous aid schemes now finally have the opportunity to get aid funds via a hardship regulation. This should run across the countries. Some federal states have already set up such a fund. All the details are not yet known. The aid is based on the fixed costs that apply in the bridging aid. Unfortunately, private costs such as health insurance or old-age provision are left out again.
We'll see what countries make of it.
