isdv on site – BMAS

The fourth online discussion with the BMAS took place last week. Topics on our part were once again the (mostly not) simplified access to basic security, the extension of the KUG and the continuation of the assumption of social security contributions, education vouchers for the self-employed and the question of the plan for the second half of 2021. Together with Sandra Beckmann (AlarmstufeRot ) and Randell Greenlee (VPLT), Marcus Pohl (isdv) passed on the pressure of the industry and the high expectations of the members of the BMAS. Decisions on this should be made at the beginning of April. The artists, musicians, managers and agents who also took part in the round drew a similarly gloomy picture of their world. On the part of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs there was no great will to consider real improvements. There are difficulties, but at least 95,000 self-employed and freelancers have taken out basic security. The isdv does not see this number as proof of success. It is still incomprehensible why the job centers can make such autocratic decisions and turn away many of our colleagues. The political will is simply not there to put an end to this tragedy.
