Yesterday the associations of the BAGSV met with the member of the Bundestag Manuel Gava. Mr. Gava is a member of the SPD and is now responsible for the self-employed, the obligation to provide for old age, work contracts and the artists' social security fund. He solves Dr. Rosemann, who is now responsible for other areas of focus.
The conversation was a first get-to-know-you and the program items were the big caliber: status determination, bogus self-employment, pension scheme and platform economy.
The question on our part, whether self-employment means precariat for him, because a sentence on his homepage implies this, he answered clearly with no. His perspective on these issues is open and he was very interested in our points of view. This was shown not least by the fact that Mr. Gava stayed in the video conference almost 30 minutes longer than agreed.
A very positive first conversation. The sequel may already follow in January.
