IGVW supports World Hearing Day
For World Hearing Day, the World Health Organization presented an online webinar on March 2nd, 2022 on the new global standard "Safe listening venues & events", which deals specifically with hearing health measures at concerts and in clubs.
In addition to international best practice examples, the 100 pages contain concrete know-how and practical solutions for safe hearing.
The panel was also supported by Jörn Nettingsmeier from the VDT as a representative of the Live Audio Working Group of the IGVW.
Further cooperation between the IGVW and VDT in the further development of this and other WHO standards is being planned.
