Beware of phishing emails

Beware of phishing emails

In the last few days, reports of phishing emails relating to Corona emergency aid have increased. It asks for information on the subsidies applied for and points out alleged subsidy fraud. Furthermore, a reimbursement of the emergency aid can be requested.

Please do not answer blindly or click on links, but take a close look at the e-mail address of the sender and, if necessary, contact your responsible office. Especially if you have not applied for anything, you should not react under any circumstances.

Here is a possible wording of a phishing email:
Subject line: "Corona grant - confirmation and instruction"

You should also be suspicious if, for example, the help was requested in Berlin, but the sender of the letter is supposed to be the "Bavarian Ministry of State".

Stay alert and healthy.
