The isdv met together with other association representatives of the self-employed with the parliamentary FDP manager Johannes Vogel. This group met again after a four-month break. Marcus Pohl was present in the video conference for isdv. He presented the situation in the events industry and addressed constructive criticism of the political decision regarding the status determination procedure (update has been in force since April 1st, 2022), the lack of definition of contact persons in the federal government and the urgent need for discussion about the planned obligation to provide for old age for the self-employed .<\/p>\n
Jochen Clausnitzer from the BDD has put the focus on the platform economy. This topic, which will also affect us in the event industry, was not even on the screen at the FDP. Mr. Vogel promised to deal with it immediately and to start an intervention with the EU. The EU and also Federal Minister of Labor Heil are pushing hard on this topic. The isdv also stays tuned to the topic. We had already commented on the project to the EU a good year ago and presented our concerns and resistance.<\/p>\n
